MISSOURI
The Missouri Ethics Commission was created by the Missouri Ethics Law of 1991. The commission is charged with enforcement of conflict of interest and lobbying laws and campaign finance disclosure law. The commission is composed of six members appointed by the governor with the advice and consent of the Missouri State Senate.

For both Kansas City and Wyandotte County the Unified Government Ethics Program promotes public trust through a political independent Ethics Commission and Ethics Administrator. The Ethics Program provides training, investigations, advising, and community outreach to residents, officials, and employees of the Unified Government in accordance with the Code of Ethics governing Kansas City and Wyandotte County.
