Synopsis of State Ethics Program:
The Utah Code contains the Utah Public Officers' and Employees' Ethics Act. Currently, Utah does not have a formal ethics board. However, the Utah State Elections Office offers information concerning financial disclosure, lobbying, and voting.

Synopsis of the Salt Lake City Ethics Program:
In November, 1998, the City Council adopted a "Conflicts of Interest" ordinance to strengthen Salt Lake City's ethics code. The ordinance may be accessed by visiting here, choosing "City Code", and going to Title 2, Chapter 2.44.
