As a recycling conscious person and as an on hands individual who's life has been drastically effected in a negative way I post this comment and hope that in some way my voice is heard. What or should I say how can this happen in today's day and age ? Are contracts not supposed to be opened for bidding ? Am I mistaking or isn't the days of contracts being "GIVEN" by what should be our elected trusted officials, the hinge point of organized crime and mafia based racketeering ? Even though the city of salt lake has chosen to invest in and chosen to operate these tactics why can they continue to let this go forward instead of apologizing and correcting the issue. Wow ! should I now seek protection for speaking, will I be gunned down on the street by city official thugs ? How deep does this behavior go ? Excuse my angry sarcasm but this seriously needs to be addressed. ? ! ?

Salt Lake City should be ashamed and embarassed of themselves!! Recently, the bid for Salt Lake City's recycling program was awarded to MOMENTUM RECYCLING and this partnership was awarded because of a DISHONEST, CORRUPT system. This is not an allegation, this is FACT...SALT LAKE CITY, SALT LAKE CITY OFFICIALS, AND ATTORNEYS have already acknowledged that the above "allegation" is just that, FACT...
With the firing of the individual responsible for putting SALT LAKE CITY on the dirty list, (you know who you are) we actually trusted that SALT LAKE CITY AND ITS REPRESENTATIVES, would correct this behavior, by revoking said partnership with MOMENTUM RECYCLING, and REOPENING THE BID to all HONEST, LOCAL BUSINESSES, of course this would mean that MOMENTUM RECYCLING be exempt from bidding...
You were on the right track SALT LAKE CITY, you just didnt follow through, and with that SHAME ON YOU...Not only UNETHICAL, IMMORAL, IT IS ALSO ILLEGAL....
so is this how SALT LAKE CITY REALLY OPERATES? Is this the way to stimulate local business and the economy?? FOR REAL??
IT IS A SIMPLE QUESTION?? It is also a SIMPLE PROBLEM, with a SIMPLE SOLUTION....GET RIGHT SALT LAKE CITY.....WHAT IS THE HOLD UP???
